IN THE PRESS!

Grande Daze Rescue Center had a good year. We have made progress in the rehabilitation and adoption of some of our dogs.

Unfortunately, cats are very difficult to adopt and many people do not understand the cost of vaccination and identification which is, like dogs, mandatory for cats.

Thank you all for coming to our sales. Thank you also to the Mairie’s office for its constant support, the free loan of the hall and the take-out sale organised this year for the benefit of associations. We couldn’t help so many animals without you.

We are working on group walks so the dogs can be socialised. Covid has been difficult for everyone and a lot of dogs today are suffering from this period where they have not been able to be socialised properly.

If you need help with your pet or need advice, do not hesitate to contact us – we always have a solution to offer you.

THANK YOU – CHRISTMAS FAYRE

Great Big Thank You

THE CHRISTMAS FARE 2022 – GREAT BIG THANK YOU!

I’ve just surfaced after getting everything tidied up following an incredible Christmas Fare for the end of our fundraising year!

What a phenomenal effort, generous support and wonderful result. We can now go through the winter caring for the long term rescues, those ready for adoption but not yet in their new homes and those animals we are yet to meet! The future looks bright.

Your support makes it possible to pay for veterinary bills, special diets and grooming needs, specialist care for skeletal problems caused by injuries inflicted by abuse and also ailments like arthritis and much, much more.

In these years of austerity and great human need, we are aware that our requirements are way down on the list of priorities. We are very grateful for every donation we receive and every cent landing in our tins.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE from Peter and myself and all of the animals that you help us to care for.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS

CHRISTMAS FAIR 2022

GRANDE DAZE CHRISTMAS FAIR –

4TH DECEMBER, 2022 Salle de Fete, La Bigottiere

What has become our traditional annual event is at our usual
venue, Salle de Fete, La Bigottiere on Sunday, 4th December. There will be lots of bargains that you have come to expect and a full contingency of our benevoles happy to welcome you.

We have beautiful handcrafted goods unique to Grande Daze and specially made by our supporters. All through the year it’s been a hive of activity with our benevoles making dog blankets and cosy linings/beds and coats to keep your pets warm, plus many other articles.

Our refreshment area will again have delicious cakes and hot beverages and even mulled wine to give that special feeling of the Christmas Season.

Bangles, Brooches and Beads

We have lots of baubles, bangles and beads at bargain prices for that colourful stocking filler and a collection of special silver items some set with amber.

Semi Precious Stones

See the lovely selection of Christmas cushions, our wonderful dog coats to keep your precious pooch warm this winter and as usual those books to read while you snuggle down in front of the fire!

We’re looking forward to seeing all our usual friends and hope to see some new faces!

The Round Way to Fundraise

We thank everyone who donates anything to help us care for the rescues but this particular donation seems to have made everybody feel happy.

Ann Taylor advertised spare wood and fencing on Facebook.  Alan Morpeth answered the advertisement and agreed to Ann’s proposal to give a donation to Grande Daze instead of paying her.  Ann was happy that her spare goods had been collected and Alan was delighted to have the wood.  All the animals have the benefit of this deal and everybody is happy!

Thank you for your generous, thoughtful and rounded way to fundraise.

The Purple Van Was There!

The Purple Van was again at Manges-Tu?

Once again, our Purple Van has been at Manges-Tu? to fundraise for the Rescue Centre. We are so grateful to, on this occasion, our benevoles, John and Pam, for their efforts.

The animals at Grande Daze Rescue will benefit greatly from the wonderful support of the people buying goods and we hope that you will continue to find the bargains we love to offer. We have been able to maintain vaccinations and carry out the usual parasite prevention so prevalent this time of year! One of our most recent rescues is receiving appropriate treatment for an eye condition and a nasty skin infection, to name but a few of the issues you have helped to fund. We also thank Steve, Manges-Tu? for his support.

Our apologies for this late acknowledgement.

With thanks – Anita and Peter
