We are thrilled to announce that we are now running puppy classes. Puppy classes are an ideal way to socialise your young dog, learn the basics and to play together.
Puppies from 3 months to 6 months, who have had their vaccinations, are invited to come along on Saturdays at 2pm. Classes are on a pay-as-you-go basis, the same as agility, and cost €10 per puppy.
Why are puppy classes important?
Socialising
Meeting other dogs from an early age is very important to a pup’s development and in making sure they grow into a friendly, confident adult dog. Grande Daze is a safe environment for puppies to explore boundaries and learn to interact with other dogs under the watchful eye of their owners and Anita & Peter, who can offer advice and support to dogs and humans alike.
Basic training
Learning to sit, walk on the lead, come when called and other important commands is a key part of our puppy classes. While we do not believe the old saying “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks,” starting early and building a trusting, respectful with your dog when they are young makes life much easier as they grow up.
Play
We believe in the importance of fun so we use play as a teaching method as well as a way to bond with your dog. Play is just as important as ‘school’ in doggy development so we encourage you to bring a favourite toy and an open mind when you attend our classes.
